Hm, actually this trip was done some months ago, but I’d like to tell you about my trip with Angga and Randy. Our trip was planned 5 months before we went to Singapore and we bought our plane ticket on April’08. We didn’t tell anyone about this plan.

Day by day, finally it was August 14th. I went to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, then I meet Angga and Randy outside and direct checked in to Mandala. The flight was delayed for some minutes. Entering the plane, I prayed and hoped that this trip would be fine and pleasing.

Arrived in Hang Nadim Airport, Batam. We direct went to Batam Center Harbour by taxi, I suggest you to buy the Ferry ticket in airport or travel agent, don’t buy it at harbour, it’s more expensive. Finally, we were in Ferry and were ready to depart to Singapore. Suddenly, Iwiet my friend informing me that we had already to set our IRS, oh my God. After 45 minutes, hi all we were in Harbourfront, Singapore. When I was in imigration point, the officer spoke Mandarin to me. “Sorry, I speak English”, haha. My Oriental face brings difficulties to talk to others in Singapore, they think that I speak Mandarin. My brother and his friend had been waiting for us outside the Harbourfront, it was 7 p.m. then we decided to have dinner at Food Republic, Vivo City. I was surprised with the food price, food like in a food store in Depok was priced with S$ 4.5. If I convert it to Rupiah, it’s really not worth, hehe. The most unlucky guy was Randy, he spent S$ 7.8 for dinner (it had been discounted 10%). Angga also had a bad dinner with very spicy rice making him sweating, haha. After dinner, we went to apartment People’s Park Center in Chinatown using MRT (first experience, hehe). It was 11 p.m. then we took bath, set our IRS and slept.

First day in Singapore we went to Sentosa Island. Actually this place was leaving a bad taste in my mouth, it was 10 p.m., and we got temper. An old Chinese man became anger to us because we opened the umbrella in front of his store. The most hatable words were “This is not youre country, this is Singapore, we have regulations!”. We had apologized but he always repeated the same most hatable words to us. Huh. We spent all day in this small island. Using the free bus service arounding this island and visiting all beach are very nice activities. In the afternoon, we played ‘Luge and Ride’, it was very interesting. After that we watched ‘Song of The Sea’ show, it was very wonderful show. With a very tired body we came back to apartment and slept.

Second day in Singapore, we were going to Clarke Quay, Merlion and Esplanade. Wow, nice walking, but raining stopped us to walk. We had lunch at Marina Square, this mall is very crowded. After that, we watched scientific fun show for children at the hall of this mall. I hope there will be scientific fun show for children in Jakarta too. After lunch, we went to an apartment at Bishan to have a fellowship and dinner there (thanks God for free dinner, hehe). We ate Manadonese food, finally Indonesian food. After that we came back to apartment to take bath. Then we went to Clarke Quay again, to enjoy the night atmosphere there. We ate some breads we bought at People’s Park market (cheaper price for late night, hehe). I invited Angga and Randy to visit Merlion and Esplanade on night, but they rejected because their feet are weak, not like my strong feet, haha. It was 12 a.m., “Hi all, this is our Independence Day. Happy Birthday Indonesia!”.

Third day in Singapore, we got up late then went to Church at Kovan. After praying, we came back to apartment then went to Tanjong Pagar Station and took train to Kuala Lumpur. At 9 pm the train was departing. The journey was about 8.30 hours, the temperature was so cold.

Fourth day in Kuala Lumpur, we checked in Pondok Lodge at Chang Kat St, Bukit Bintang. Well, the place is tropical but too minimal facilities. We slept about 2 hours then we went to Petronas Twin Tower, but there is no tour to skybridge on Monday. We had breakfast at Suria’s food court. I really love roti canai and its curry there, so tasteful. After that we went to KL Tower though it was rain. Ha… we had to climd the road, how tiring it is. View from KL Tower was cloudy but cool. We can see Kuala Lumpur at all from this tower. Then we came back to our lodge to take a nap. In the evening we went to Puduraya terminal to buy bus ticket to Singapore. We have dinner at Indian food court, wow cheap and yummy. I took many pictures of Petronas Twin Tower on night by myself while my friends were waiting at lodge.

Fifth day in Kuala Lumpur, I woke up on 5 am, “Randy, Angga wake up!”, shout me. We went to KLCC early morning to get the free ticket to Petronas Skybridge, hoho, we got the ticket for 9 am.  Then we came back to check out from Pondok Lodge to Summer Inn (2 house from Pondok Lodge, haha). Oh my God, my towel was lost, I thought a Japanese guy use my towel, huh. On 11 am we went to Genting by taxi (the bus ticket was sold out, huh). Each people pay for MYR 20, if we buy the bus ticket is about MYR 3-5. Wow, the journey was very horrible, what a scary road to climb. Finally, we arived at 1 pm, Genting is not that crowded. As what people say, DuFan is much more better than this place. We came back to KL by bus to KL Sentral station, then we took monorail to Raja Chulan station. Angga and Randy made a consideration about their expenses, it took a lot of minutes. Guys we gonna take picture at Petronas Twin Tower, common! Finally, we were infront of KLCC, then we set self timer for our camera. The white light was off when we were taking picture, waaa… Angga was very very very sad, he asked security guard why the lamp was off :D The we came back to our inn via Ramlee Street. Wow, KL’s night life is here!

Sixth day in Kuala Lumpur, oh this is our last day in KL, we hunted for souvenirs and gifts at Petaling Street. Wow, cheap here cheap there, haiya no, we have to bargain until our last blood! As Angga had not taken photo with lightful Petronas Twin Tower  yet, so we went to KLCC again. We have our last Indianese food at the Indian’s food court. Yummy, I really love the canai bread with spicy curry. We took bus at Puduraya to Singapore at 11 pm, sleepy!

Seventh day at Singapore, Randy called Aunt Elly to check in the apartment. We had to wait until 10 am, but we left our luggage there and went to Suntec City, looking for sale, haha. At night, we had dinner at Little India, I ate Soto Betawi, hoo I missed Indonesian food, yummy.

To be continue…
